Red, yellow, blue and every color in between is what makes art come alive as it creates contrast, movement, and excitement in each piece. This week the students will explore the wonderful world of color as they dive deep into color theory. They will learn how to mix colors, how to use value to create dimension and depth and learn different ways to use hues in their art. They will also work with lack of color using black and white in their art pieces. Projects will include a one-of-a-kind color wheel, contrast art on wood using vibrant colors against a black background and the students will dye yarn and then create a woven piece.
